Start with breakfast in your own kitchen, ride Metro to the museums, then come back to separate bedrooms and in-unit laundry. A Pack ’n Play and high chair are available on request. The entrance has stairs, and your group shares one bathroom.
Visiting friends or family on Capitol Hill
Enjoy your own private apartment between neighborhood visits, with room to cook and relax. Explore Eastern Market and Barracks Row, or ask James about the route to the address you’re visiting. Only registered guests may stay.
RFK festivals and event weekends
Stay in Hill East for events at the RFK Festival Grounds, including Project GLOW. Confirm your event entrance and dates before reserving. The primary booking guest must be at least 22; quiet hours are 11 PM–7 AM, and parties at the apartment are not permitted.
A Capitol Hill base for the DC you came to see
Capitol Hill East House puts your Washington plans at the center of your stay: museum days, Capitol visits, neighborhood meals, and festivals at RFK Campus. Stadium-Armory Metro is approximately 1.5 blocks away, serving the Blue, Orange, and Silver lines.
U.S. Capitol & Library of Congress
Explore the landmarks that give Capitol Hill its name. Capitol South is a useful Metro stop for the Capitol complex and Library of Congress. Check visitor reservations before you go.
National Mall & Smithsonian museums
Make a day of museums, monuments, and memorials. Ride Metro to Smithsonian for the National Mall; choose your stop for the museum or landmark on your itinerary.
RFK Campus festivals & events
The RFK Festival Grounds remain an active outdoor event venue, hosting festivals such as Project GLOW. Check the current event calendar and the entrance assigned to your ticket.
Eastern Market & Barracks Row
Leave time for the Capitol Hill neighborhood, too: browse Eastern Market, discover local shops, and head to Barracks Row for a meal between sightseeing plans.
Bringing a car?
A free street-parking pass is available on request. Let James know in advance if you need one. Parking is on the street; the pass does not reserve a space. Read the parking and arrival information.
Know before you book
The entrance has steps down to a lower-level patio and is not wheelchair accessible. Some sound transfer is expected in a historic townhouse. Check-in is from 3 PM; check-out is by 11 AM. The primary guest must be at least 22. No pets, smoking, parties, or events at the property. Review the house rules, payment and cancellation policy.
